If you love(d) the video game Harvest Moon in any of its incarnations, you know that festivals are the best part of the game. Ishikawa, much like your farming town in the game, is also home to a number of similar festivals, including Nonoichi’s Flowers-and-Greenery Camellia Festival.
The 21st Annual Camellia Festival, based in the Nonoichi Cultural Center, will feature ikebana displays of camellias; sale of products made from camellias; performances; tea ceremony; food stalls, and bonsai.
I personally adore the random and cute festivals of Ishikawa, so you can bet I’ll be there. I just have to figure out the right perfume to buy first….
