Event: 10/10-11 Akari to Hana no Komichi

Great event coming up this weekend in Higashichaya!  Want to experience the beauty of traditional Japan at night?  Head down to Higashichaya for a beautiful light-up, traditional flower arrangements and free dance and music performances in the street.

  • Light-up and Flower Concert:  Hikoso Ryokuchi Park, 18:00-21:00, 10 minute performance every 30 minutes.
  • Shamisen and Kokyu Concert:  Kazue-machi Ryotei Association Office, 18:30-21:00, 10 minute concerts at 30 minutes intervals.
  • Japanese flute and singing concert:  KZ Gramaphone Museum.
  • Biwa playing and book reading:  Kanazawa Literary Museum, 10/11 ONLY, 18:30-20:00.

There will also be a English tour guide available:

“English speaking guides from “Maidosan” (a volunteer guide group in Kanazawa) are available for free for your night walk there who will explain the history, etc. of the Chaya District.”
