Japan is filled with all sorts of hidden places, and among them is the Tatsurahama Bird Park. Located behind the train station, it is a nice half a kilometer walk through a bamboo forest that leads directly into a structure that stands projected into a lake. It’s a nice shelter, and allows you to view the birds without disturbing them.
To get there, get off at Tatsurahama Station on the Noto line. Go straight out of the station and turn left towards the JAS S station. There you will see a sign directing you where to go.
Driving, you must take the 249 (On the Nanao side) until you see a sign for Tatsurahama Station. There is a convenient sign on the left side of the road (if your coming frome the South West) that will conduct you through a rather circuitous route.
