“I’m now going to have to ask you to fill your vagina with cement.” – Adam Carolla in response to a chaotic woman who has just admitted to having five children.

Are you worried about the long-term effects of marijuana? Are you still seeing tracers a week after dropping acid? Are you having second thoughts about piercing your penis? Are you secretly having consensual sex with animals? If so, then Loveline is the radio show for you.

The premise of the show is troubled teens and young adults call looking for advice to problems usually rooted in drugs, sex, relationships, or a combination of the three. The shows hosts are Dr. Drew Pinksy and Adam Carolla; the former is a board certified physician and addiction medicine specialist, while the latter is a former carpet cleaner turned comedian. Despite, or perhaps thanks to, their disparate backgrounds, these men have produced some of the best comedy radio has ever seen.

The third, and perhaps most crucial, part of the show is the callers. I have heard people from ages 12 to 60 call the show looking for help to the most common matters (I can’t have an orgasm) to the most bizarre (I’m a zoosexual who has been having consensual sex my dog). No matter the subject, Dr. Drew and Adam are almost always up to the task of dishing out good advice.

Littered between the calls and advice is Adam’s genius ranting. He has an uncanny ability to generate comedic rage directed at everything from the dentist to conjugal visit sex. The fact that Loveline callers are some of the dumbest people in America makes his ranting that much more entertaining. It’s as if Manny Ramirez were given a tee every time he stepped into the batter’s box. (Un?)Fortunately, the callers are usually too stupid to realize they’re being made fun of.

Aside from being hilarious, I can confidently say that the frank advice of Dr. Drew and Adam towards sex, drugs, abuse, and relationships is one of the best educations I have ever received. I have learned more about women, dating, drugs, sex, and alcohol in the two years I’ve been listening than I could ever learn in a lifetime. Dr. Drew’s encyclopedic knowledge of drug abuse and relationships combined with Adam’s commonsense has been worth much more than the show’s free pricetag.

So if you have been looking for some new english entertainment, check out Loveline with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew.

Note: Adam Carolla stopped co-hosting the show in 2005 and was replaced by a DJ named Stryker, who is very unfunny. Therefore, the only way to listen to Adam and Drew is by downloading old shows. You can do so at this link.
